It has a population of over 17 quintillion individuals, placing it at the third most populous nation within the Confederacy of Borealis. Blumeheim's two major departments, known as Ravi-Empyrea and Llæ-Empyrea, have a combined influence of over 40 million stars. History
Creation
After the Great Empyreal Crusade, Empyros was fully occupied by the Vaplein Republic, Erstes Konsortium, Tenshi, and the Un'oit Collective. During the occupation, the Fuukanist church was entirely dismantled and its priests killed. They were capable of a unique form of Thaumaturgy based on Fuukanism, making them exceptionally dangerous. That and their willingness to cause several quintillion deaths during a galaxy-scale war. After numerous show-trials, the leaders of Empyros were also put to death. In their place was a democracy with only a minimal for the Fuukanist religion.
Post-Creation History
Stripped of all of their colonies, Blumeheim became a minor power. Its isolated location meant that its status as a galactic power was lost. It mostly kept to itself with little interest in the outside universe. It entered into a period of decline after this, resulting largely from its inability to repair most of its infrastructure. The war had devastated the nation and many emmigrated to the newly established Ravi-Anthrovia as it was far less damaged.
By the 30,000s, Blumeheim was merely a shell of its former self. To gain some international investement, the nation signed the Treaty of Albedo to become an associate state in the Confederacy of Borealis. After experiencing much benefit from this relationship, it became a full member-state in 38,109 CE.
Its population, however, was still declining. By 70,000 CE, the nation's population was half of what it was before the Great Empyreal Crusade and dropping quickly.
Post-War History
After the devastating War of the Ancients, Blumeheim saw a huge influx of refugees. It was not a strategic target during the war meaning that, apart from a few blockades, they experienced little of it. This meant that Blumeheim's economy, infrastructure, and populace went unscathed. Many of all species fled to the nation to escape cramped conditions on hastily build refugee sites. They were unwilling to wait for better accomodation in their home-nations. Since then, the population has mostly remained stagnant.

Blumeheim maintains a limited military that is required to be made up of non-believers by treaty. Breach of this treaty is grounds for war. This includes other religions such as Aeternalism. Given the low number of non-believers, it is a struggle for Blumeheim to find enough forces to make a sufficient army. It has usually relied on troops from Sagittarium for protection. Upon the full unification of the Confederacy of Borealis, Blumeheim will lose this restriction and will be able to create a large military once more, albeit one that answers to leadership in the Confederate capital of Jörmungandr.
