The Cosmoria Galaxy is a very active galaxy approximately 6 mly from the Via Sagittaria Galaxy. The Cosmoria Galaxy is home to the only quasar in the local universe, and this quasar outshines the rest of the galaxy a thousand fold and is visible in the daytime sky of places like Lowrokira and Thalsiedeln.

Overview

The Cosmoria Galaxy is known for it's beautiful structure, but this is far outshined by the vast lobes of hot material ejected from the quasar at the center of the galaxy. These lobes extend roughly half a million light-years out into interstellar space from the galaxy. These lobes are easily visible to the naked eye, although they are far brighter in radio waves, precluding study of the region behind these huge lobes. The Cosmoria Galaxy is surrounded also by huge amounts of rarefied superheated intergalactic gas, hot enough to glow in X-rays (shown in infobox image above). Because of this extreme activity, the Cosmoria Galaxy is utterly lifeless with no native intelligent species.

Despite this, the outer reaches of the Cosmoria Galaxy are controlled by the Collective Systems of Cosmoria, a Human nation founded by migrants escaping the devastation of the War of the Ancients. The CSC has shied away from colonizing the core of the galaxy, as the entire region is irradiated by the central quasar. The Cosmoria Galaxy is also very active in terms of star forming, with many nebulae and such scattered through the galaxy. The CSC itself has had a profound positive effect on the galaxy itself, restoring countless worlds with life and reducing the radiation in some areas.

Cosmoria has two major currencies used throughout the galaxy, which are Azinos and Cosmorian Unit. The Cosmorian Unit is a mainly virtual currency used throughout the more civilized areas of cosmic, while the Azinos itself is a material currency, used primarily in less inhabited areas such as the Wild Space. A single language is spoken in Cosmoria, called the Cosmorian Basic, which is commonly used throughout the galaxy. Two forms of Cosmorian Basic exist, each with a different alphabet and dialect. These are, the New Cosmorian and the Old Cosmorian.

Cosmoria itself is a young galaxy, which became a quasar around five billion years ago. During that time, only a few species had developed the knowledge of practical interstellar travel, and these species all have peacefully migrated to the orbiting Charybdis Galaxy. This is the primary reason as to why the Charybdis Galaxy hasn't been entirely conquered by species from Cosmoria.

Currency, a project is ongoing named the Cosomoria Habitation Program, that intends to terraform as many planets and moons as possible, and introduce themselves to life. It was started around six thousand years ago, and currently over two thousand worlds have been introduced to life once again. This includes the lush worlds of Auralia, Keleros and Hasentio among many more.

Quasar's Might, the somewhat poetically named core of the cosmoria galaxy, contains Acellaris, the supermassive black hole of the galaxy and the origin point of the vast jets extending from the galaxy for over a million light-years. The region is characterized by extremely dense star clusters scattered through the place, and contains no colonies from the Collective Systems of Cosmoria.

Quasar's Might has been nearly fully mapped by hundreds of thousands of FTL probes, but every system found has shown nothing but lifeless wastelands. Because of this and the region's proximity to the brightest radiation source in the entire Local Universe, it is completely uninhabited except for astronomers researching the quasar.

Primary Colonies

Viridis Nebula

The Primary Colonies, oftentimes simply called Colonies is the most heavily civilized region of the ten galactic regions of Cosmoria. It contains the highest amount of majorly civilized worlds, which is currently near 150 thousand. This has led it to be the most explored region out of all regions of the Cosmoria Galaxy.

Most of the region is fully charted, done by hundreds of thousands of FTL exploration probes sent out across the region. It's border itself are defined as the area where civilized worlds start to be come far more sparse, until they eventually vanish entirely.

The most civilized area in the Primary Colonies is the enormous Viridis Nebula, which itself spans over two thousand light years in diameter, and holds numerous major worlds. The most popular of these are: Pelias, an icy moon with many large cities scattered across it's surface, Aliden, which is a smaller than average sized ecumenopolis with a population of ten trillion, and Eures, a lush garden world that has recently been reintroduced to life.

The Primary Colonies currently has a thousand planets and moons reintroduced to life, however, vastly different from what it had since there is no way to recover the DNA from the long-extinct species. Initially, each world was given a basic ecosystem. Then on, nature and evolution take control, transforming the basic ecosystem info a complex, fully fledged ecosystem in hundreds of even thousands of years.

The Primary Colonies is surrounded by two regions sharing nearly the same name and function, which are Coreward Colonies and Outer Colonies. These two regions together contain around 50 thousand more well-known civilized planets and moons of all types.

Wild Space

Wild space Cluster

The Wild Space remains as the most unexplored region out of the ten galactic regions of Cosmoria. The two reasons for being so unexplored are that it is simply too far from any nations, and it is filled with an exceedingly high number of primordial black holes travelling at a high velocity, requiring any starmaps that contain the Wild Space to be frequently updated.

In total, the Wild Space contains around one hundred thousand catalogued planets and moons, only four of them having indigenous life that survived, as the cause of current scientifically unexplained reasons. Many theories speculate that long ago, a few extinct alien species decided to protect those few worlds. To this day, the question of why did the aliens protected only so few worlds still remain unanswered, and is used against this theory. Another theory states that these worlds are protected by a currently undetectable energy field shielding against the deadly radiation.

Wild space currently has sixty seven remote colony worlds situated in the borders of the Wild Space. While remote, they have been slowly transforming into self sustaining colonies, with no outside help from the Collective Systems of Cosmoria being needed at all to function properly. These colonies are situated in two extremely close open clusters called the Drakt and Zarael clusters. The most heavily populated of these colonies is situated on the desert moon of Avaria, positioned orbiting fairly close to the azure-blue gas giant of Theseus, itself being situated near the borders of Wild Space. With a population of a billion, it is well known among many explorers in the Wild Space, and oftentimes used as a waypoint for starship repairs and fueling by the aforementioned explorers. Many of these self-sustaining colony worlds are connected by primitive hyperlanes, and are planning to form a fairly small-sized democratic nation. Wild Space itself as been referred to as the Essence Region by it's few inhabitants.

Many billions of years ago, way before Cosmoria became a quasar, the region of Wild Space was heavily inhabited, and even perhaps the center of a long-extinct alien nation spanning across the entire galaxy. The current artificial borders of Wild Space are defined as when the alien ruins commonly found on many worlds and even in space start heavily decreasing.

Timeline

Anybody may add to this page to include political or major galactic events.

Anything in bold is considered to be a major event while relatively minor things are not bolded. The "Common Era" is defined as modern history. 0 CE is defined as the year in which the ancient powers in the universe were reorganized or had contracted greatly, thus creating a completely different astro-political setting.

BCE = Before Common Era

CE = Common Era

Before Common Era

13,800,000,000 BCE: --The Cosmic Primordia causes the Universe to be created.
