"When it comes to exclusivity, no where in the cosmos compares to the Amaranth Galaxy of Wonder; Ambrosia. This singular galaxy holds more secrets, wonders, and horrors then the entire Local Universe's respective member galaxies combined. It really is astounding."-Mareth Kella

Overview[]

Thavmium is a term coined by the Ambrosia Alliance of United Systems to describe various types of rare, precious, and or anomalous resources native exclusively to the Ambrosia Galaxy. What defines a Thavmium can vary greatly, with some using the term to describe intelligent beings rather then inanimate objects due to some exclusive or anomalous trait they may posses. However to be classified as a Thavmium, they must be exclusive to the Ambrosia Galaxy and cannot be found anywhere else in the cosmos.

Due to their nature, Thavmium can almost always be used as a beneficial tool or resource by an intelligent species, and are often times classified as a fundamental pillar of a species' entire respective technology. however in certain cases, a Thavmium might not provide any real beneficial nature. In many cases, if it were not for the benefits provided by certain Thavmiums, many species would remain locked at lower technological levels, such as the Serpentine who rely almost exclusively on that of the Thavmium; "Iaspis Viridis."

Typically, a select Thavmium will only be found on a singular celestial body, usually on a planet or moon, however in some cases a Thavmium maybe located on multiple celestial bodies across the Ambrosia Galaxy. In extremely rare cases, select Thavmium can be found on numerous celestial bodies across the galaxy, such as the Noctillius or the Magitania, which can be found on millions of planets and moons.

Organic Thavmium[]

Noctillius 3

Noctillius[]

The Noctillius is most likely the most prevalent Thavmium in existence, as it is found of hundreds of millions of worlds across the Ambrosia Galaxy. It is considered to be a living species due to the nature in which it moves and reacts to stimuli, however it lacks any other traditional traits that almost all known forms of life in the universe posses, so labeling it as: "life" maybe factually incorrect.

Appearing like a mass of black liquid, the Noctillius can only be found on world surfaces that are fairly warm, as the Noctillius is unable to exist in cold environment without freezing, with the limit being around twenty degrees Celsius. As a result ,the Noctillius is unable to exist within space, but despite that, can be found on millions of worlds. As a result, the matter in which the Noctillius has spread itself throughout the galaxy as much as it has remains a mystery.

Noctillius material can be used by an intelligent induvial to create an extremely durable metal-like texture by heating the material to high temperatures. Once heated, the material will have a tensile strength similar to that of steel. Due to the lifeforms prominence across Ambrosia, it is one of the most shared objects throughout every intragalactic species and civilizations in the whole of Ambrosian history.

Magitania 2

A group of lighter colored Magitania seen through a microscope.

Magitania[]

The Magitania are one of the most prevalent Thavmium in Ambrosia, as they can be found on several thousands of worlds across the galaxy. They are fairly unique among Thavmium as they are considered to be a microscopic species of self replicating bacteria, who, once introduced to cold temperatures, will replicate en masse until' they completely cover the respective object with themselves. They are almost always found on frozen ice planets and moons, though in rarer cases they can be found on certain cold asteroids or comets. On a world in which they are located, the respective celestial body will have a thick pink-icy coloring and appearance.

As they lack any useful nature to intelligent species, they aren't classified as a Thavmium to be used in the construction of anything in particular. However, due to their strange nature and prevalence across Ambrosia, they are often times studied to determine their nature and as to how they managed to spread themselves as far as they have.

Metallic Thavmium[]

Novumium 2

Several Novumium cubes.

Novumium[]

Novumium is a Thavmium that takes the appearance and structure of a darkened grey-colored wood, though it is technically classified as a metal. Novumimum can only be naturally found on the planet Sancta-Nostra, home world of the Euphorion, and are formed deep within the planets many cavernous expanses beneath its respective surface.

Novumium are extremely durable, almost to the point of neigh indestructibility, making them one of the most durable Thavmium in the whole of the Ambrosia Galaxy. Along with their impressive physical structures, they are very electroconductive, meaning that electrical currents can travel throughout their structure at incredible speeds. As a result of these factors, and their abundance on their home world of origin, Novumimum stands as the single most important resource of the aforementioned species, with almost everything constructed by them being made out of the material, including their most famous creations the: "Thousand Sentinels."

Organic Titanium 2

Organic Titanium[]

Organic Titanium is a Thavmium found on numerous worlds across the Ambrosia Galaxy that functions much alike that of the more common metal; titanium, however Organic Titanium functions more akin to that of liquid, being able to be molded and manipulated very easily. Unlike most Thavmium, it is known that Organic Titanium was created by an intelligent induvial of some sort, as the metal's creation dates all the way back to the time of Seraphnim, the enigmatic and one of the first type three civilizations to ever arise within the Ambrosia Galaxy.

As a result, organic titanium is most commonly found in large quantities in worlds where the Ones that Came Before were known to inhabit, however since they are often used by other intragalactic species, they have been transported to various worlds younger then the aforementioned civilization. The respective species that currently makes use of the material more then any other would be the Zheroni of the Silent Reaches region, as Organic Titanium serves as their civilization's chief resource.

Mineral Thavmium[]

Iaspis Viridis[]

Iaspis Viridis 2

Green colored Iaspis Viridis.

Iaspis Viridis is a Thavmium that takes the appearance of large green or blue colored crystals located exclusively on the planet Vitride Vitrum and its major moon, Serpenlacum, the color of which depending on their respective world of origin, with green Iaspis Viridis being located on Vitride Vitrum, and blue belonging to Serpenlacum. The structure of Iaspis Viridis is covered in numerous super particles that are exclusive to itself. Said particles can be manipulated to create an immensely large amount of energy, though they can often times be fickle, as they may or may not work as intended.

Due to their location, the Iaspis Viridis serves as the most voluble and most widely used resource of both the Serpentine, and the Antitine who are both native to the worlds the aforementioned Thavmium exists. As a result, many of their respective structures and technologies are completely made out of Iaspis Viridis, giving their colonies a very pleasing and colorful crystalline appearance.

Amendinite

A group of Amendinite growing in a small cave.

Amendinite[]

Amendinite is a blue crystalline Thavmium native to several worlds across Ambrosia, though it is most prevalent on the planet of Amendia, hence its name. They are small crystals that have a property of luminous, producing a faint light blue hue in the dark. They are fairly brittle, being easily broken in half with the slightest amount of effort, and as a result, are not used very often in the construction of anything beyond ornamental pieces of jewelry.

One unique thing Amendinite holds are the strange relationship they have with the respective intelligent species of the world they are most prevalent in the Akardi of Amendia, as once they are placed upon a wounded part of their body, the respective wound is almost instantly cured. How this process works remains a mystery to other member species of the Ambrosia Alliance of United Systems, however the Akardi seem to possess a knowledge of the resource that others do not, but as the Thavmium is one of the largest symbols of the Akardi's society and culture, they do not seem to want to share said knowledge.

Aqua Inversa[]

The Aqua Inversa is a special kind of exotic matter. It is the waste matter of Paome's string-and-monopole based life, and usually takes the form of an exotic oxygen-18 with negative mass. However, due to unknown reasons, the Aqua Inversa has some properties of normal matter, and is one of only two instanes of exotic matter to do so.

For example, the Aqua Inversa can respond to gravity like normal matter does both to normal matter and exotic matter. However, if it comes into contact with normal matter, the two annihilate and produce pure gamma rays. This makes it useful for generating energy by dropping large quantities of it onto something and collecting the energy that emanates from the impact site. Aqua Inversa is also useful for stabilising wormholes.

Chemical Thavmium[]

Archruion Color 1

Amethysstium clouds within Archurion.

Amethysttium[]

Amesthyttium is the the respective gases that make up the Archurion Nebula. It is a unique gas found only within their own structure. Nicknamed "Amethysttium" due to the color it produces, the gas that makes up the nebula's structure holds several properties exclusive to itself. It is extremely electrically conductive, with small electrical currents crossing its gaseous structure constantly, resulting in many electromagnetic storms to rage across the nebula, with some of the larger ones being visible from outside the nebula's borders, appearing like small sapphire blips in the violet sea of Archurion.

Along with its electro conductivity, Amethysttium is hyperactive, moving about with great amounts of kinetic energy, but despite this, it is extremely stable, not often breaking apart. Rather, Amethysttium often times collides and combines with itself very often, leading to the vast amount of star formation the nebula has experienced throughout its entire existence, however a fairly common trait among stars that form with Amethysttium as a main component of their structure is that they will experience a quicker death to that of more typically formed stars, usually taking only half the time of what a star of their type would normally take to reach the end stages of their existence. This is believed to be caused by the hyperactivity of the gas that comprises its being, causing it to burn through its reserves very quickly and leading to supernova much sooner then usual.

Galotherum 2

A hydrothermal vent of Galotherium.

Haven - Galotheirum[]

Galotherium is a unique chemical of gold colored particles that are constantly secreted from hydrothermal vents deep within certain locations in the oceans of planet Haven. The areas of the planet's oceans in which Galotherium is known to be produced are given a appearance to that akin of liquid gold, with areas large enough where it can be seen from space. This Thavmium has the ability to make the respective water that surrounds it completely clean of all pollutants, leaving the now golden-colored water more pure then any other water of Haven. As a result, the planet's populace uses the chemical to make pure drinking water for those who need it.

Particle Thavmium[]

Magna Particle[]

The Magna Particle is a particle that existed within the bone marrow of the Balaena Magna, an ancient creature of planet Douma, and still exists within their fossils today, all be it much diminished. How a strange powerful particle like this only arose within these creatures is unknown. The Balaena Magna completely relied on this particle for everything, nourishment, movement, sight, and organ functions. The particle was later found to be able to be used to power many pieces of technology and as a result, serves as the main form of energy of the populace of the ancient creature's respective home world, Douma.
