The Hyacinthi are a late type two species of bipedal, humanoid rosa organisms native to planet Hyasintha in the Trinata Star Cluster in the Dryas Cloud in the Ambrosia Galaxy that existed from 1,900,000,000 BCE to the present year.

They are most famous for their near extinction in 1,240,670,429 BCE at the hands of the Etymology.

The Hyacinthi are a rather famous species of the Ambrosia Galaxy, and this is due to several factors. The most obvious would be their physical appearance, which has been likened to that of many types of flowers found on various planets such as Earth. Thanks to the wide range of colors they come in, they have been regarded as quite aesthetically appealing to other intelligent species.

Another would be their esoteric social and behavioral structures. Unlike most collective species in the *known* universe, each Hyacinthi's personality and behavior is as unique as their color patterns. But despite this, they seem to all have an altruistic desire to see their species as a whole advance throughout the ages and exist in a utopian state of being.

The most famous moment in their history as a species would be when they were annexed into the once galaxy conquering civilization known as the Etymology in 1,240,670,689 BCE. While they were a relative uninteresting species compared to the thousands that surrounded them, one of the government's highest rulers, a one; "Mystara" would become obsessed with them, with a fanatical zeal. This unfortunately resulted in her attempting to exterminate the entirety of the Hyacinthi species, with only twenty five percent of the entire population remaining.

However, a large number of the Hyacinthi managed to escape destruction, ultimately retreating to the Eros Star Cluster in the Dryas Cloud, the farthest point in Ambrosian Space. Thanks to its distance, the Etymology had little to no presence in the aforementioned star cluster, allowing them to freely terraform a world they discovered known as: "Hyacinthus"

Thanks to this, they stand as one of the lucky few Etymology member species to survive the faithful Red Galaxy Event caused by the C.Y.R.E.X in 604,000,000 BCE when it rebelled against its Etymology creators. Afterwards, they would form a cluster-wide society with other surviving intelligent species in the Eros Star Cluster known as "Ventus-Secundus"

The physical appearance, height, weight, and overall physical structure of the Hyacinthi varies depending on the individual Hyacinthi in question. The few constants that all Hyacinthi share start off with that each and everyone of them is a bipedal plant of various types of flowers known to exist on many planets. Most commonly, a Hyacinthi's main structure would be made up of the genus: Rosa, or more commonly known as the: "Rose" flower. However, many Hyacinthi will be made up of other flower genus' such as the Hyacinthus, Viola, Bellis perennis, Tulipa, and so on.

Across these flowery bodies are thousands of flower pedals all varying in size and shape depending on the Hyacinthi in question. As well, each Hyacinthi will have a wholly unique color pattern across these aforementioned pedals, with some of them being so minute you could spend hours attempting to tell the difference between the two, while others being so different one would think they came from two separate species.

Due to the rather weak structural makeup the flower pedals that make up their bodies poses, they are rather fragile and brittle, easily allowing an individual to simply tear them off with minimal effort. Thankfully for the Hyacinthi however, the individual flower pedals grow back in their original position only several standard minutes later.

Regardless of type, each Hyacinthi poses four limbs, with two arms and legs. At the end of each arm there were humanoid hands with five digits, along with opposable thumbs to assist in the grabbing of objects. At the end of their legs are two feet like appendages, which holds five toe-like digits in order to assist in balance.

On their faces they have a humanoid mouth with two rows of teeth with thirty two individual teeth, with two sharp canines that stick out of their closed mouths located at the left and right side of their respective lips. They also poses a two nostril humanoid nose, allowing them to smell nearby odors.

As well, they have two front facing eyes, however their abilities of sight are fairly weak, only seeing things that are very close by. Oddly, their pupils will either take the appearance of a representation of the daisy flower, or your classical valentines heart. The color of these pupils will almost always match that of their respective flower pedals, however in rare cases they may take a different color.

Their heads are extremely humanoid, and the top of their heads vary depending on the Hyacinthi in question. Some of them have entire miniature flower bushes growing on them, taking the appearance of hair. While others are barren, giving them a bald appearance.

The Hyacinthi are monogendered, meaning that they didn't have concepts of male and female. Instead, each Hyacinthi is grown much like a flower. Throughout a Hyacinthi's life, various flowers will sprout throughout their body. Eventually, these flowers will reach a state where a different Hyacinthi will begin to sprout. Once this point is reached, the Hyacinthi in question will pluck the flower off of themselves and they will plat it to the ground. Within a one standard year period, a wholly different Hyacinthi will sprout from the flower full grown and the cycle will begin anew. Typically, a Hyacinthi will have around twelve different flowers growing on their person at any given time.

Across their bodies is a large vine like structure filled with hundreds of spiked thorns. This vine is also located internally, wrapping around the insides of the individual Hyacinthi. These serve as a both an offensive and defensive tool, with the Hyacinthi in question being able to whip them around and shoot them from any part of their body in a twenty five feet radius, causing them to be quite effective at deterring attackers. As well, they often use them to scale vertical surfaces, throwing them upwards like a grappling hook. Along these vines are individual flowers growing across it.

Often, a Hyacinthi's height and weight will depend on the environment they are placed in. If the gravity of the world is heavier, then the Hyacinthi will be shorter then usual and weigh more. While if the gravity is lighter, then they will be taller and lighter.

With the introduction to the superior technology of the Etymology, many Hyacinthi took part in genetic modification, with many adopting flowery wings on their backs, allowing them to fly. In fact, so many did this that several Hyacinthi are naturally born with wings even today, though this is a rarer trait then those who lack them.

Their diet is made up of the natural light emitted from the celestial body they are standing on's parent star. They constantly absorb the photons that batter the surface. Depending on how far away, or how much light the body gets, the Hyacinthi there will have higher or lower energy. Typically, those Hyacinthi that make their homes on celestial bodies who orbit a main sequence star will be full of energy, allowing them to preform several actions at once. While those who live near brown dwarfs will act much slower, and sleep for longer periods of time. As well, the color of the individual Hyacinthi's body will be determined by the amount of light they are exposed to, with higher light levels producing more bright and vibrant colors, while lower light levels producing darker and muted colors.

The Hyacinthi never really had a collective behavior. Instead, each Hyacinthi had their own views on life, their own wants and needs, their own hobbies, and so on. Despite this, they are several commonalities in Hyacinthi behavior, granting them the rank of a pseudo-collective species.

For example; each Hyacinthi had an altruistic need to benefit the whole of Hyacinthi kind in any way they could. This included small things like helping a neighbor when they needed it. Or being a shoulder to cry on in case a Hyacinthi was under emotional distress. Whatever the case, a Hyacinthi would find it to be their utmost important duty to put others above themselves.

Another common trait would be that Hyacinthi enjoy being happy at all times, and as such, they will constantly engage in actions that make them happy. This doesn't always work as they are not monoemotional, and they do feel a whole range of emotions, but they at least attempt to remain happy at all times. The reason for this doesn't go further then they simply enjoy to be happy.

Hyacinthi all speak a common language that is integrated within them from birth, allowing all Hyacinthi to communicate with each other at the same level. An odd quirk of this language would be that at the beginning of each word spoken by a Hyacinthi begins with the prefix of: "Hya" .Which basically meant positivity in its purest form to the Hyacinthi as they always strive to be positive in all moments of time.

Often they will be extremely curious and inquisitive with things they have never encountered before hand. They will often observe the object(s) in question very thoroughly, and they will often get frustrated if they cannot ascertain the information about it they want at that given moment. This will sometime lead to a Hyacinthi getting into a form of danger all in pursuit of learning the information they want about a given thing.

Ancient History

The species that we would come to know as the Hyacinthi fully evolved in 1,900,000,000 BCE on the planet of Hyasintha. When they first came into being, Hyacinthi congregated in the many caves that were located all across the planet in order to hide from the massive predators that walked the shorelines at the time.

Eventually, the Hyacinthi would begin to develop along the line most intelligent species do, with them developing structures, tools, and eventually complex society, becoming a full embryonic civilization in 1,780,000,000 BCE.

They would continue to evolve quicker and quicker, however thanks to their lack of knowledge on how to use the resources available to them, they were unable to leave their home planet, instead resolving to create better technologies to assist the living conditions on their home planet rather then branching out.

Induction into the Etymology

However, the space age would be seemingly forced upon them. In 1,240,670,689 BCE, their home planet of Hyasintha would be discovered by the Etymology during their wide scale colonization of the Trinata Star Cluster. Thus, they would be inducted into the aforementioned intragalatic civilization, allowing the Hyacinthi access to far superior technology. While being technically annexed into the Etymology, most Hyacinthi welcomed it with open arms, as it would allow them to expand beyond the borders of their home world and explore the endless Ambrosian stars that illuminated their night skies for millions of years.

Upon their discovery, Mystara, one of the Ten Supreme Authorities of the Etymology would become enraptured with the Hyacinthi. She became enamored with every aspect of them. From the endless colors they were covered with. To the overall physical structure of them. It was a strange feeling that she couldn't explain to herself as before she would only feel this way towards one of her many creations. She became obsessed with recreating the beauty she found in them. Unfortunately for her however, she would find that no matter how good the copy, she couldn't feel the same way she did towards those who were naturally born. Even straight cloning didn't fill the void. Most famously, the "Defecti-Tayfllo" would be created in this attempt.

Attempted Destruction

This drove her mad with envy, as she felt only her creations were perfect and that nothing can outclass them. As a result, she would attempt to exterminate the entire species for daring to upstage her. Thus' in 1,240,670,429 BCE, Mystara would order the destruction of Hyasintha, framing it as the Hyacinthi secretly plotting against the Philology Council. As a result, many Hyacinthi would perish during the orbital bombardment.

As it happened, several Hyacinthi across the many worlds of the Etymology would attempt to flee in various directions, hoping to find safe haven. Those who did not manage to escape were summarily killed and turned into personal Oblivione slaves for Mystara.

Thankfully, in 1,240,670,033 BCE, a large Hyacinthi refugee ship managed to locate a world outside of Etymology occupation. This planet was a small, uninhabited lifeless Terra world in the Eros Star Cluster, the farthest point in Ambrosian Space. Once they arrived, they would name it Hyacinthus, in memory of their destroyed home world. They would quickly begin to terraform it into the vision of their former home world, and by 1,239,425,024 BCE, Hyacinthus would be made into the spitting image of Hyasintha before it.

Throughout millions of years, the Hyacinthi of Hyacinthus would remain unnoticed to the Etymology, and it was thanks to this that they were spared their ultimate fate. In 604,000,000 BCE, the C.Y.R.E.X would rebel against its Etymology creators, killing almost all intelligent life in the Ambrosia Galaxy inthe Red Galaxy Event. Thanks to the C.Y.R.E.X being unaware of Hyacinthus' existence, the remaining Hyacinthi were unaffected, allowing them to join the illusive group of surviving Etymology member species.
