The Propita were an ancient species native to planet Haven. They existed from 240,000,000 BCE to their destruction during the Red Galaxy Event of 64,000,000 BCE
Overview[]
The Propita were an ancient species of quadruped mammalian Ovis aries organisms native to the island of Silent Meadow of the continent Pathiel. The Propita were a species that did not receive much prominence during their respective existence, and this is due to a few factors. The first and most inhibiting of these would be their inborn aggressive and extremely violent nature, that all Propita across their home island of Silent-Meadow would have engraved into their being from the moment of birth. And the second being their subjugation by the once galaxy dominating Etymology, after their discovery of the species and their home world. Thanks to this, the Propita were unable to progress along the typical technological scale most intelligent life is known to evolve across, only being able to manipulate simple tools and inhabiting simple wooden structures.
A rather famous moment in their history would be their attempted rebellion against their Havenite and Etymology occupiers. Despite their fairly weak technological capabilities, the Propita were extremely physically strong, and were able to somewhat fight back against the respective powers that be on their island of origin. However, in a somewhat out of character move for the aforementioned intragalactic civilization, they would use a device in the hopes to avoid unnecessary bloodshed.
As a result, they would employ the use of "Mystara's Lullaby" sharing its name with its creator Mystara, which in-turn was a device capable of influencing the thoughts and emotions to any sentient creature that hears the music it produces. They would use Mystara's Lullaby to pacify the Propita, and they would continue to keep the species in check throughout the remainder of their existence. And much alike most species within the Etymology's domain, they would be completely annihilated when the C.Y.R.E.X rebelled against them during the Red Galaxy Event, and their home world of Haven would turn into an ashen wasteland.
However, overtime, the Propita's home world would begin to heal, and would soon house new life and new intelligent species. The island of Silent-Meadow in specific would eventually house the "Flosilva," who would discover scant remnants of the Propita's previous existence. The most notable of these relics would be the island spanning "Wall of the Garden's Breath" which miraculously survived the burning of the planet, and would remain as the largest piece of evidence that the isalnd of Silent-Meadow was previously inhabited by intelligent life. As a result, the Propita are held in high culturally regard by their successor species, with countless pieces of art and folklore being centered around them
Behavior[]
The Propita baseline physical structure and appearance is much alike many other species of Ovis ares across the cosmos. They have a quadruped build, with thin layers of fur located across their entire bodies. They are extremely skinny, lacking many muscles and usually showing signs of malnutrition and injuries, due to how often they engage in combat with other Propita.
Despite their lack of muscle mass, the Propita had specially developed hind legs, which had been evolved to specifically be able to allow an individual Propita to lung at their respective target at great speeds, usually clocking in at speeds up to seventy-six kilometers an hour, making each Propita a living ballistic round. Along with it giving a Propita great feats of agility, it also allows them to leap great heights, being able to jump up to twenty feet (six meters) vertically in the air, giving them excellent ways to escape a pursuer.
Certain physical differences are known between the two individual genders of Propita, as male Propita re born with two front facing and extremely sharp and durable horns and will also typically be much shorter and less muscular then their female counterparts. Along with the external physical differences, male Propita will typically have less effective internal organs, and often times will have a significantly shorter lifespan, As a result, the population of Propita during the species existence was very imbalanced between the two sexes, with females making up eighty percent of the planet's population, and it would take the intervention of the Etymology to prevent the species from going extinct due to the lack of male mates.
