Overview

Ryless is the first planet situated in the federation-controlled system of Allae, and one of the most anomalous worlds to exist within the The Gathering of the Palioxis Starfield. The world is dominated by intense plasma storms, leaving the surface scorched in a dark gray mountainous landscape blanketed by the purple/pink colored dense atmosphere of argon, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. The planet is extremely hostile, as even the toughest species are unable withstand the pressure of 28 atmospheres present on the surface. Even the world's parent star of Allae is nearly invisible, shrouded by the crushing atmosphere. Ryless is oftentimes mistaken as a gas giant due to the appearance of it's atmosphere.

Besides the unforgiving conditions, silicon-based life has mysteriously evolved to thrive on the world. All twelve discovered species on Ryless consume energy from the plasma bolts often striking the planet as a food source, never before seen on any planet. It is unknown how even life formed, and a few advanced theories state that life was planted there by a highly advanced alien civilization.

Ryless has given scientists across the Charybdis Galaxy many interesting opportunities to discover many interesting properties about anomalous worlds like Ryless, and as such there are twenty six research stations situated across Ryless, which a global population of around five thousand scientists.

The average surface temperature of Ryless is two hundred degrees celsius, disintegrating most living beings. The scorched world orbits Allae from a tiny distance of 0.25 AU, completing a single orbit in 45 days. Ryless is the slowest rotating body in it's system, completing a single rotational period in 642 days. Ryless has a diameter of about 6,754 km, and a low gravity of 0.56 G.

Ring System

Ryless has closely-located rings circling it, composed of small rocks and particles. The planet has 3 rings. The A, B, and C rings. The A ring is the biggest, and closest to the planet, and has a high concentration of water ice rocks, along with a high amount of metallic ore deposits. The B ring is essentially the middle ring, and the most resource rich, as it contains an unimaginable amount of metallic deposits, and as such many mining stations operate in the B ring. The C ring, which is the farthest is barely seen, as it contains mainly microscopic dust and rock particles.

Ryless has a large number of gravitational anomalies, often happening in the form of areas of unstable and constantly shifting gravitational force, leaving any explorer brave enough to enter an area of gravitational anomaly to be stuck there unless a good enough jetpack in equipped. A rather strange phenomenon to note in the areas of gravitational anomalies are essentially small-sized islands that are seen to be entirely stabilized in the constantly shifting gravity.
